Gervala's scandalous performance in Dubrovnik silences Kurti and Osmani

Without the US and NATO, the European Union is “a tiger of paper” on security issues, top diplomat Grovalla said yesterday.

The foreign minister's scandalous statement has sparked severe reactions both inside and abroad.

The opposition has named the foreign minister's statement irresponsible, until a statement by Croatia's Dubrovnik has also reacted to US Emissari for the Western Balkans Gabriel Escobar.

During a speech at a panel discussion at the “Dubrovnik Forum” in Croatia on Saturday, Gervala has declared that Europeans are aware of their weaknesses in diplomacy and security.

According to Kosovo's top diplomat, this Union weakness in security issues poses a high risk for the Western Balkan region, because, as she says, it has given Putin and his allies space to fuel tensions in the region. “Without the US and NATO, the EU is a paper tiger”, she has said. Last week, the EU imposed punitive measures against Kosovo due to its disregard for Western allies' demands.
