Gervala in the presence of Escobar and Lajcak: The EU “tricr of paper” can offer security without the US and NATO

Kosovo Foreign Affairs Minister at a Forum in Dubrovnik along with Gabriel Escobar and Miroslav Lajcak has talked about the security of the Western Balkans. According to her, the EU cannot provide security for this region without US and NATO support.

As far as security is concerned, Gervala says the EU is a letter “tier” without the support of two powers like the US and NATO.

It has also said that Kosovo is fully listed with Ukraine as far as neighbouring states continue to assist Russian aggression against Ukraine without any consequences from the European Union.

Kosovo is unique because 90% of people support EU and NATO membership. We are on line with the Lord in Ukraine. Others in the neighbourhood are assisting the routine in this aggression, without consequences from the European Union. A key question for security in the Western Balkans is whether the EU can guarantee security and peace in Europe.

My impression is that the EU cannot. Because it's not, it can't. Because she's not capable of providing security. The reasons are obvious. There is political will. There's a lot of unity in Union. And without the U.S. and NATO, the EU is a “tiger of paper” as far as security is concerned”, Gervala said.
