Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has provided details concerning reaching the agreement on extending the situation to the north, thus acknowledging the European Union's plan for the north.
Kurti said the four points would create preconditions in full implementation and unconditionally to the Basic Agreement and annex of Ohrid.
The meeting's “Syndening was to create preconditions for focus on full and unconditional implementation of the basic agreement. It is about the basic agreement reached in Brussels on 27 February and its agreed annex in Ohrid on March 18th of this year, which constitutes integral part of the” agreement, Kurti said.
Kurti later reiterated the four steps Kosovo will take to intensify the situation.
For us as a government, it is important that citizens of the Republic wherever they are indiscriminately have the local representation that I represent properly. For this it is necessary to create the environment, which enables the actual campaign, political pluralism the participation of local communities and guarantees the invisibility of the vote. The importance that the Kosovo government gives rule of law in each part of the country should also be interpreted in this context. We cannot compromise with rule of law, because it would seriously violate democracy. The law on politics is the adequate definition of democracy in our current context”
The prime minister has also stressed the four steps it says lead to success in implementing the agreement.
I have underlined that for the success of implementing the basic agreement, the parties must first publicly acknowledge that the agreement is legally binding something that has not been done by the Serb side. Second that the agreement must be implemented in the multi-company, which is probably not clear to one of the parties yet. Thirdly, implementing the provisions of the agreements cannot be conditioned. Fourth, the two sides will have the opportunity to negotiate from equal positions, which has been violated as a consequence of measures imposed on Kosovo by the EU-ka”, Prime Minister Kurti said. /Periscope.
