The German Eurodeput, Reinhard Bütikofer, has commented on the speech of Kosovo Foreign Affairs Minister Donica Grovalla at the Dubrovnik Forum in Croatia on Saturday, in which she called the EU “a letter player”.
Bütikofer said he shares some of the same criticism of Kosovo against the European Union, but there were remarks on the percentages Gervala mentioned, which spoke of citizens' opinions.
“Politicians are not only passive performers of most voting, but are responsible for forming options where they are difficult to find”, the Bütikofer wrote.
Gervailla sharply criticised The EU at a panel with the US emissary for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar and the EU's minister for dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak. The two emissaries did not hesitate to express their opposition in relation to Gervala's statements.
