Finance Minister Iron Murati has listed international agreements, which he said the opposition “is holding to a deadlock of” in response to opposition by parties out of power for the first sanctions the European Union took against Kosovo.
Murati said opposition parties are complaining that Kosovo remained out of the EU's financial programme worth 7.5 billion euros for Western Balkan countries, but added that they have blocked “150m euros”.
“Oposor has complained about why Kosovo has not yet become part of the EU Digital Europe Programme. But it is the same opposition that has been blocking international agreements in the Assembly for months, for no valid reason. There is a total of nearly 150m euros blocked by the opposition”, Murati wrote, listing agreements that await approval in the Assembly.
“25m euros in agreement with the KfW for investments in the electricity transmission network; 84m euros in the Solar Central Warming Project, financed by grants from Germany, grants from the EU, and loans from the EURZH. The 40m USSD agreement with the OPEC Development Fund, tools that we plan to invest in sports infrastructure, to be ready for the Mediterranean Games”, the Murati reported.
From Brussels confirmed on Saturday for Gazeta Express that June 28th they have announced the Government of Kosovo on imposed sanctions: the suspension of the SAA, the suspension of projects financed by the Investment Frame for the Western Balkans, suspension of IPA funds, suspension of bilateral and other meetings.
