Stoltenberg, Erdogan and Swedish Prime Minister Wolf Krittersson met earlier in the day to discuss Turkey's concerns about Sweden's allowing to join NATO.

Sweden has reportedly agreed to support Turkey's bid to join the EU.

Hungary is now the only NATO member to have not yet agreed to Stockholm's membership in the alliance.

Stoltenberg has called the moment historic, saying this step will make NATO allies stronger and safer.
