Although, on many topics we still have no epilogue, one that was actually rejected by all political actors in Kosovo, it seems that Prime Minister Rama himself has put the point. It's about the “Open Balkans initiative”, which Rama apparently officially closed today.
“Enter the Berlin Process”, Rama has said, in an interview given by Euronewsalbana.
The “Balkan was open, the Berlin Process is”, what did Rama say?
In an interview given to Euronews Albania, from Ulcinqi in Montenegro, Rama spoke long of a series of differences between him and Kurti. The main emphasis of the interview was the situation in the north, subsequently the measures the EU has begun to take against Kosovo.
But, in a conversation against Rama somehow closed the Open Balkans, a project launched by him.
Albania's prime minister “closed the” of the Open Balkans, began to argue, citing the fact that the Berlin Process is being moved to Tirana, and that economic opportunities are great.
In October, Albania expects for the first time since 2014, when Angela Merkel opened the Berlin Process, that is, in Tirana. It is an extremely important summit, because we are prepared for a major step forward, we are working with the EU on a new funding plan and economic support for all countries in the region. We want to make it very concrete at the Berlin summit in October. It's a real plan.
Ursula Von Der Leyen delivered a first message about the plan, to increase financing, to increase the excise of Western Balkan countries on the common market.” dealt originally with Rama.
In the course of the interview, the first of the Albanian government's open Balkans referred to it in the past, saying that “was a project”, and of the Berlin Process said that there “we should go head-to-head”.
“... And while we have to deal with this, of course the Berlin Process is already our main axis.
The open Balkans was an initiative which arose from the need to push the Berlin Process forward, and has carried out that mission for which it was born. We need to head-to-head the Berlin Process now because we have this opportunity. We are able to master this process. We have the great support of Chancellor Scholz.
What “was” Balkans Open
The Open Balkans creation plan has taken place on 10 October 2019 in Novi Sad of Serbia, attended by leaders of Serbia, Albania and Northern Macedonia.
The aim of this regional initiative, which is originally called “Mini Schengen”, is to increase co-operation among countries of the region, facilitating the circulation of goods and moving people.
The three founding states had held several meetings, where they also signed agreements and memorandums aimed at free movement of citizens, facilitating import and boosting free access co-operation in the labour market, Nacional writes.
The founders of this initiative have repeatedly invited three other countries to join this regional initiative.
Kosovo rejected
This initiative in Kosovo was rejected by all. Kurt was against Osman too. Even the opposition never backed him, even though there was a voice in opposition parties here that supported him.
What did Kurt say?
Kurti, the Open Balkans initiative, had seen in the prism of Russian influence in the region.
The Open Balkans look more like the Balkans open to East influences, especially from the Russian Federation, but also from China, as well as the Balkans open to autism, corruption, for war criminals who, as we all know, continue to be massive, not only free in Serbia, but not just a few of them at power and” Kurti said.
President Osmani also had insisted that only the Berlin Process is the way.
“strongly believes the Berlin Process is the only solution for the region. The Open Balkans delay European integration and intend to replace the Berlin Process, which is impossible. This initiative, launched by Novi Sad, did not include Kosovo as equal to other states” ♫ Osmani said.
Even opposition leader Memli Krasniqi had named the Open Balkans as a project that does not offer a platform for Kosovo.
“Whatever is within the Berlin process even through one, I am calling it conditional, the revival of this process, we would be ready with discutu and see the modifier of Kosovo's inclusion, but “Open Balkans” I believe that for Kosovo it is already clear that it does not offer the platform where we can have enough security to be treated fairly and equal to<3x>
The LDK leader, as argument for opposition to the Open Balkans, had taken over, the international race, which he said is missing. The Berlin Process, by Abdixhik, had strong competition and was the right way for integration
There are 2 parallel processes in this direction, the “Berlin Process” that has international competition, and in the form presented is a pre-room of European integration. “Open Balkan” sHE has neither European competition nor European integration for that reason I do not support”- Abdixhiku said.
