Civil Society: Government Foreignly nominated Chief Inspector

The consortium of civil society organisations made up of the Group for Jury and Political Studies (GLPS), the GAP Institute and the Institute for Development Policy (INDEP), expresses deep concern over the failure to implement the Independent Council's decision on Kosovo Civil Service ( KPMSCK, Pristina Constitutional Court Act, Action of the Court of Appeals for the appointment [...]
It has been more than a year when the Independent Council for the Civil Service of Kosovo, after extraordinary monitoring, had made a decision to cancel the decision to appoint the chief inspector. The Council had found that the position of Chief Inspector of the Labour Inspectorate enters the category of high-level leadership positions within the civil service, and as such is subject to the Law's Law regime for public officials.
Also, the Constitutional Court in Pristina and the Court of Appeals have rejected the request for delaying the execution of the KPMC ruling, which was submitted by the Ministry of Finance, Labour and Transfers.
Similarly, the Constitutional Court in Pristina with the Act of Justice has rejected the request of the Ministry of Finance, which had called for the annulment of the MJ.nr.50/2022 KPMSCK verdict.
Despite the KPMSCK decision, the Court's decision, the Government has not annulled the decision to appoint Chief Labour Inspector, and the same has recently been appointed a member of the Health Insurance Fund Board.
Therefore, we demand that decisions made by competent bodies be respected and that the illegal decision be annulled.
