MP from the ranks of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Hykmete Bajrami, has declared that the determination of minimum pay has been carried out arbitraryly.
In “Debat Plus” RTV Dukaagjini, Bajrami has declared that Finance Minister Iron Murati has had no consultations or agreement about its determination. MP Bajrami stresses that in determining the minimum wage, all factors were not taken into account.
“Initially, the minister of finance, as reported... we understand that there has been no consultation or compliance about determining minimum wage, has been arbitraryly appointed. It has come, procedures have been overcome, several principles of the world work organization have been violated and done without public consultation. Above all, the inflation rate” has not been taken into account, it has declared.
On the other hand, MP Bajrami has stressed that the Law for the minimum wage was adopted in a session, which had no conditions to be held.
“This law went to the troubled session on July 13th. The Assembly touched the lowest point that day, we were ashamed of what happened. At the end of the opposition released the hall, we believed there were no conditions to continue that session, there are now claims by the palamentary groups that have not followed the procedures for its invitation, and the case has written even in the Constitutional well, it must be mentioned that such a law after more than a year has been passed only in a desk where there is actually no conditions for its development and where opposition parties have abandoned the session. The minimum wage has been set at 264 euros since the proposal from the Finance Ministry came in May 2022, while we know how many developments have occurred since then”, it has declared.
With 60 votes for a abstention, the Law for the minimum wage has been passed.
This law envisions the minimum wage becoming 264 euros.
