Periscope went to this neighborhood to ask residents about their lives. Among the topics discussed was the employment of members of this community.
One youth in this neighborhood said that although he knew three foreign languages, he found it difficult to find a job, both because of discrimination and racism.
Very hard to find. I know three foreign languages and still very hard to find work. There's a lot of racism there's, there's got to be.” The young man said when asked by Periscop's journalist.
Meanwhile, the branch chairman The IRDK, Idriz Murtezi, said that besides racism, another reason that makes it difficult for members of this community to integrate into the labour market is the lack of professional advancement through various courses.
“Communities have shortcomings because they do not have enough space and access to education, advance or professional courses that perform certain trades in various fields. They have no adequate support, and they are far behind. They must have professional courses to advance these communities and integrate into the labour market.” Idriz said about Periscope.
He also said that although many community members are talented in various fields such as sports, art, and so on, they lack adequate support.
We have very good athletes. We have very good singers, but they have no financial support. He concluded his statement about Periscope.
