Former Albanian prosecutor: Tʹu given autonomy to northern municipalities, but to seek the same for Valley

The former Shkodra Prosecutor's Prosecutor's Prosecutor, Shkelqim Hajdari, has said the messages of former President Bill Clinton, who visited Tirana on 3 July, go directly to Kosovo.

In an interview for “News24”, he says Kosovo should grant autonomy as much as is required with the international majority Serb municipalities in the country's north.

But he says the territory does not make it break off, but remains within the Republic of Kosovo.

Clinton's speech takes us directly to Kosovo. Clinton said Serb majority municipalities should have all the rights that should have a community or an ethnicity, and you Albanians should give them. All internationals say Kosovo is destined to be a state to function on the basis of the principles on which this state was created. They are, the principles of democracy, freedom and human rights of every ethnicity and every nation. And this state that's a product of the West, top of the United States, has to behave on these principles”.

The current government in Kosovo should not fall prey to provocative actions by Vuciqi. We all know that Kosovo's north has not been populated with as many Serbs as it has now been, there has been a Serb majority, but not as much as there is now. Because it has operated on Serbian secret services to collect Serbs from other provinces within Kosovo or from other countries, Bosnian Serbs, etc. That there the Serb population is controlled by gangs, by organised crime, no discussion, and if there is will from Serbian politics, they leave. But it shouldn't plant to their effect”.

And the only possibility for the state of Kosovo to move towards integration and towards membership in international organisations, and in one condition and another geopolitical situation, within its will to find elements of joining the mother state, such as Albania, is to give these municipalities the maximum of autonomy that envision all international conventions dealing with minorities and ethnicities. Which means, the only thing that should not be negotiated with them, is that this territory remains within the sovereignty of the state of Kosovo and does not move as a border, but they are granted all those rights. But being honest that the same thing we need to ask for Serbian policy on the Presevo Valley, for Albanian ethnicity to get to the draw of”, the potential Hajdari.

Meanwhile, regarding the situation created after sending Albanian mayors to four northern municipalities, the former prosecutor said Prime Minister Albin Kurti is behaving as if the world is in the cold war.

Recent “countries are showing that Prime Minister Kurti is politically behaving like we are in the cold war. Kurt's behavior with everyone. Kurti's clash is with all -- originally within Kosovo with opposition parties -- is in conflict with key actors negotiating. The consequences of these clashes are only on time issues, which we have in our power to speed up or slow Kosovo's EU integration”.

In relation to internationals, I think they're constantly one step ahead of us. Kosovo has entered history, internationals never let this state exist, but want Serbia to be lost along with Kosovo. A pro-Western EU member Kosovo, and a eastern Serbia with occult ties to China and Russia, would not serve even co-operation between the two Kosovo countries- Serbia and neither stability in the Balkans. This package of actors will move forward, and to Albanians, the current Kosovo government, has only one thing in its power to contain and block. But for Kosovo to return back and lose its territorial integrity, state and independence, this never happens”, he said.

Regarding the Rama- Kurti report, he says the Albanian prime minister has been direct at meetings, and has said things that are not said in public.

“Rama didn't save anything, told them all in meetings. He has given him his reasons for canceling government meetings...”, he said, as he was asked about the draft association state drafted by Rama, he said: “We want to find the tails of a phenomenon, we find them all you want. The bill has become like the nails of Nastradin. We are all convinced that those municipalities should be managed by Serbs, should have political, judicial, police, without losing the territory that will be part of the Republic of Kosovo”.
