In Afghanistan, next week, beauty salons close forever

Hair and beauty sausages across Afghanistan will be closed in the coming weeks at the order of the Taliban.

Shutting them down would lead to the loss of about 60,000 jobs.

Salons were allowed to continue operating since the Taliban regained power two years ago, but they changed their position last month.

The decision further limits open spaces for Afghan women, who have already been barred from entering classes, gyms and parks, writes BBC.
