Abdixhiku starts in midweek meetings for “New Republika”

Democratic League of Kosovo Chairman Lumir Abdixhiku has announced that on Wednesday he will start meetings to discuss the current situation in the country and find a way out of the crisis.

The first four meetings, Abdixhiku, has said he will hold with opinionists and journalists, civil society organisations, university professors and former diplomats and businesses from the private sector.

On all four first meetings, we will provide not only the need to build a common Euro-Atlantic view and travel, but our proposals for exit from the current insulating and tense crisis. These proposals will be represented by the participants themselves; and the new Republic route will naturally spring from social engagement”, he wrote.

Last week I have unveiled the idea of launching the articulation of a common social opinion, as the new route of the Republic of Kosovo, in the face of Kosovo government's confrontational policies with its historic allies, and around, the endangering of the central pillars of sovereignty and our citizenship itself.

I have invited for the joint commitment of our society, those who believe in the Republic of Kosovo and its Euro-Atlantic journey, to the clear articulation of this road. I've been invited into a superparty and out-of-party commitment as the last call for developments in time.

I'm happy with the first public response to the initiative itself. I am happy with the broad support given by the acters themselves for that purpose. I am convinced that Kosovo society has the necessary critical mass within it to do the right thing at the right time. And this is the right time.
