LDK Chairman Lumir Abdixhiku has gathered the party's leadership to discuss the next “steps”, which he will take.
The LDK's announcement reportedly comes after recent developments in the country, including the violence used yesterday in the Kosovo Assembly.
“As a consequence of recent developments, ugly images of violence in the Kosovo Parliament, LDK chairman Lumir Abdixhiku has gathered members of the leadership discussing the LDK's steps in the coming days“, the LDK report said.
There have been physical clashes between PDK deputies and members of Kurti Government yesterday in the country.
Tensions continued even after MPs and the government cabinet were returned to the hall. Chief Parliamentary Minister Glauk Konjufca decided to continue the session, exceeding the discussion that led to the outbreak of violence, which involved recorded conversations between LV Parliamentary Group chief Mimoza Kusari and Serbian List senior official Slavko Sivem. The PDK refused to exceed this discussion and blocked the Parliament's speaker for several hours.
Meanwhile, LDK deputies were not involved in tensions. MP Armend Zemaj asked Konjufca to stop the session by reading it to the Parliament's regulation, but the chief parliament refused the request.
