Even this year in the Malisheva municipality, over 700 ticks have been recorded, of which 3 people have been sent to the QKUK Infectious Clinic. Officials from this municipality say they have been spraying and raping animals, but have also held lectures in the schools of this municipality as well as protection from ticks.
The Malisheva municipality is known as the winding hearth of the ticks, where, in the postwar, the crime Congo hemorrhagic fever has killed 18 people. And this continues to be a challenge for this municipality, although from 2014, there is no death case except bites.
Health Director from this municipality Hajdin Berisha for Radio Kosovo says that despite the preparations and precautions that have been taken, there is a considerable number of stings.
We actually have 752 cases of bites we sent to the Infectious Clinic. Compared to the same period last year, there is a decline. We are in July and August, where the number of stings --” can be added, he said.
The Malisheva municipality for preventing the spread of hemorrholic fevers in addition to spraying has also organised a public education campaign.
Despite that, director Berisha says concern remains the appeal of animals that must be made by the Food and Veterina Agency.
Berisha explains that shares in cleaning waste dumps have been taken to prevent breeding.
“We started year after year with the elimination of warehouses then recommendations and advice given to farmers we went to the family to show you how the yard is maintained, then how animals should be cared for”, he said.
Halit Mazreku's official emergency plant in the Malisheva municipality explains these days they are spraying on the wandering areas.
Malisheva, Drenoci, Caralluka have been treated. So we go from two days through these villages”, he said.
Bleeding fever is a group of acute infectious diseases caused by viruses. They are diagnosed with damage to the vascular system as well as the body's recovery capacity disorder. /rtk
