Police profession is a very important task in society, whose responsibility is to maintain public order and security. Part of the profession is also the dangerous situations they face in their daily activities.
Kosovo police have confirmed that 62 physical attacks on police officials have been recorded in the first six months of this year while in office. Also, another 36 cases have been described as “preventing the official person from performing official tasks”.
Despite the daily danger, it has been nearly six months since Kosovo police officials have not executed their surplus risk.
From the Ministry of Finance and Internal Affairs, they had announced that police officials in addition tools of risklessness will receive retroactively when they finish the relevant commission for the Law of Salaries.
About 40 police officials have resigned for lack of conditions”
The Kosovo Police Union chairman Imer Zeqiri, who told Dukagjin that this year about 40 police officials have left the workplace due to lack of adequate conditions.
The failure to pay additionals for risklessness according to Zeqiri has had no reason to happen and that it is a huge damage being done to Kosovo Police officials.
There's no reason why this is not supposed to be, it's going to be the sixth month we're not taking risk extensions. Retirement for risklessness can be halted but the police can't take it off. In reality, during this year we have 40 resignations, they have resigned due to conditions, poor pay, not growth, but discount”, he said.
