Like years ago, he hasn't missed even the 25th edition of the International Symposium. SYMI, for which it rejected Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama's invitation to attend the meeting with Western Balkan leaders in Tirana.
After returning from the symposium last year, Kurti said he had met about 30 foreign businessmen, who, according to Kurti, would invest in Kosovo.
But, citizens of Kosovo, saw no investment from the “exploitable meetings” of Kurti. He had said that the biggest efforts he makes are non-public and are in the field of foreign investment,
He said that investment meetings in most of them do not fit in with “tupan” and neither with “vuzela”, since it is harmful.
“I have met close to 30 different businessmen on the investment issue in Kosovo. These businessmen have not all been Greek, a part have been European and American who are already in Greece. The biggest efforts I make to the Republic are in the field of foreign investment. So the more I present Kosovo as an attractive place for investment, but these meetings in most of them don't even make up for evuvuzela because it's harmful”, Kurti said.
According to him, Greece has advanced to the discurs in the report in Kosovo.
“... So even more I can say than for political meetings on the investment issue, I have used this position in Greece at these two conferences. I believe Greece has advanced in discours but as we are close to the day when Greece will join most EU countries to recognise Kosovo now I cannot say”, Kurti said.
The International SyMI Symposium is founded by former Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou and organised each year. This edition this year is called “Which world in 2030? Treating Icarus” (Hich Worth in 2030? Adversing the Icarus Syndrome. /democracy. com
