Today, it has been two weeks since the start of the work of Albanian mayors in three northern Kosovo municipalities. As the situation there differs much from last week, even further from then on in the municipality facility is standing in the mayor of Leposaviqi, Lulzim Hetemi. The situation this Friday was quiet with few protesters around municipal facilities.
Just as temperatures have changed in the north within the past two weeks.
Out of tensions with firearms, during Friday's 26 May, the form of protest by Serbian citizens differs greatly this Friday in three northern municipalities.
In Leposaviq, where even further President Lulzim Hetemi is staying within the city's object, protesters have improvised sports areas to spend time.
In front of the municipality, thorns have already been removed, and Kosovo Police Carblins have moved behind the municipality's object.
There are still KFOR units and autobildes.
Children have become part of the protest, while school objects are already serving for something else.
The quiet situation this Friday was also in the Zvecan municipality, where most protesters were already women. Representatives of the Serbian List, who are not leaving protesters alone most of the time, restored the TV.
Even here, the same as in Leposaviq has already been removed from the thorn wire and police cars are standing behind the municipality.
In these two municipalities, the presence of KFOR, near protesters, is greater, as long as Kosovo police units are located.
In the two week of tensions, Kosovo's prime minister has once again cited that part of the country must have rule of law and a date for election.
From Dubrovnik, Kurti at the “European Croatia conference: retrospect and perspective”, has said that in these municipalities the presence of special police units could be reduced if violent “exhibitionists stop the riots.
“I think this is the way ahead, along with intensive dialogue for implementation of the agreement, because we have an agreement we need to implement”, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has said.
The removal of the Kosovo Police from the three municipalities in the north was constantly demanded by the Serbian List and by international representatives.
