Because of the explosion, police have evacuated citizens from surrounding buildings.
What caused this explosion is still unknown.
Prosecutors said two people are still missing after the collapse of two buildings in Paris.
The search-saving teams are conducting operations through the ruins of buildings in the fifth district of the French capital, where some of the most frequent tourist locations are located.
Authorities announced that the blast occurred at private school.
The fire has been put under control, but it has not yet been completely extinguished. About 270 firefighters have been involved in fire extinguishing, and 70 emergency vehicles have emerged at the scene.
According to authorities, four of the injured are in critical condition, and 20 have less dangerous wounds.
Officials in the fifth district of Paris blamed the flow of gas for the explosion, which caused fire.
District Speaker Florence Berthout said the “explosion was very violent”, adding that glass fragments are still falling from buildings.
Prosecutors in Paris are investigating whether the blast is caused by any eventual violation of security regulations.
Paris prosecutor Laure Becquau said investigators would aim to determine “whether there were violations of the rules or any individual negligence has led to the” explosion.
In Paris, even in the past, there have been incidents of gas leaks that have caused explosions. In January 2019 four people were killed and dozens more injured after an explosion.
