Svecla has said that although released, the indictment has been confirmed against police officers and that this is the continuation of Serbia's efforts to cover police-military aggression within the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
Our “polists today return to the Republic of Kosovo, to their families and to the Kosovo Police ranks. To join their colleagues in the joint mission for law order, security and sovereignty in the entire territory of the Republic of Kosovo. Although their release today is good news, their persecution from Serbia will continue in freedom. Confirmation of the indictment and release in regular procedure is continuing Serbia's efforts to cover police-military aggression within the territory of the Republic of Kosovo”, he has stated.
The minister said the police should be released unconditionally.
Our <x0) police have been on official duty within the territory of the Republic and carrying out their duty in protecting the integrity, sovereignty of the country and fighting smuggling. They must be released unconditionally and Serbia should be held responsible for violating the territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo”.
The three police officers were arrested on June 14th, while today the Court in Kraleva made a decision on their release. They are expected to return to Kosovo today.
The country's prime minister, Albin Kurti, has also called for Serbia to take responsibility for their kidnapping.
