Svechla reacts to the police case that filmed the cuffed Serb

A video of Serbian Nenad Orlovic, arrested in the north, is circulated on social networks, with a black bag on his head and no clothes on the side over the waist. Regarding the publication of this video, MPB Minister Jelal Svecla has responded, who announces he has invited the Police Inspectorate [...]
Minister Svechla reports that the police officer who carried out this act was suspended from duty last night and is still being investigated by the IPK.
Minister Svechla says that “every prisoner has his right guaranteed with our laws and international ones, as acts and legal violations confront justice. This is a fundamental principle that applies to all and indiscriminately to ethnicity”.
On the other hand, Svechla stresses that the security situation in the north continues to remain fragile.
Kosovo Police have also reacted to the case, informing that the Regional Directorate of Mitrovica South Police has initiated disciplinary procedures against the police official.
“On a recent occasion, where a video of an arrested suspect has been distributed under suspicion that there are disciplinary violations in this case by a police official, based on the relevant directive, the Mitrovica South Regional Directorate of Police, has begun disciplinary procedures against a police official, who, at the decision of the regional director, has been suspended. This case will be handled based on police procedures and has also been prosecuted for further investigation and competence at IPK”, the KP's response reportedly.
Minister Svechla's full post office:
The security situation in our country's north continues to remain fragile, but despite all the circumstances and challenges we face, the Kosovo Police and all security actors are continuing to engage fully and successfully in providing security for the country and all our citizens indiscriminately.
The Republic of Kosovo is recognised by all as the most democratic state in the Balkans, preserving and promoting basic human rights values and principles.
Every prisoner has his right guaranteed by our laws and by international laws, as acts and legal offenses confront justice. This is a fundamental principle that applies to all and indiscriminately to ethnicity.
Last night through the media, I saw the denigrating video to a detainee while in detention at the South Mitrovica Regional Directorate. The police officer who carried out this act last night was suspended from duty and the investigative proceedings from the IPK are under way.
I have commended and I continue to congratulate every action of our bodies that is done in order to create a safe and secure environment, for well-being, equality and justice for all and indiscriminately. However, recording of whether arrested or imprisoned is absolutely unacceptable and is punishable with all legal mechanisms available. Therefore, without hesitation yesterday I invited the Kosovo Police Inspectorate to immediately investigate the case.
