In the north of the Republic of Kosovo, KFOR troops, including American ones, have been deployed for several days to take care of security in that part, following violent protests organised by local Serbs.
Of the acts of local Serbs' violence, several KFOR, Italian and Hungarian soldiers have remained wounded by the firearm, while others have remained with fractures and burns from used vehicles. But it seems that Serbs are not getting enough.
Several accounts with various names have launched a lynching campaign against a U.S. soldier who has managed to identify from a photograph that has been shot at him in the north of the country, Express reports.
“American, Kosovo is Serbia, back home”, has written one of the accounts that has distributed American soldier's photo.
Another account, he commented on the same post calling for the soldier's murder.
“Return home, or you will be killed”, writes another commentator.
“Stanley brought an automatic weapon to Serbian holy soil, he should never return home again”, is the next comment.
Another account has written that “Stanley is a fascist soldier” and that “NATO is the Nazi organisation aimed at destroying Russia”.
In addition to such comments and calls for murder, there are dozens of other comments lynching and swearing toward the American soldier.
Following the monstrous crimes of Serbian forces against unarmed Albanians, mass deportations and numerous Serb paramilitary forces massacres against Albanian civilians, the United States of America in 1999 on 24 March had made the decision to shell Yugoslavia. After 78 days of bombings by the North Atlantic Alliance, Slobodan Milosevic had signed the surrender of Serbia, and Serb forces had fled Kosovo territory.
The American forces since then continue to be present in Kosovo and are located at one of the largest bases in the region located in the town of Ferizaj, called “Bandsteel”. Based on Resolution 1244, US forces together with KFOR forces take care of safe environment and freedom of movement for all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo indiscriminately. /GazetaExpress/
