Serbia proposes “four-point” plan for extension of situation in the north

Serbia's Defence Minister Milos Vucevic, once president of the Serbian Progressive Party, through a post in his account at “Instagram”, has proposed a “four-point”, which, according to him, would contribute to calming the situation in the northern part of Kosovo inhabited by ethnic Serbs. “Must have talks for [...]

There should be talks on illegal arrests. There must be talks on withdrawing special units. There must be talks on establishing the Communist Association (in majority) Serbian and talk about Serb participation in the” local elections, Vucevic said.

“In my opinion, these are the four points that should be the basis for resolving this situation, if we really want to move in the direction of the stress”, Vucevic said, among other things, while blaming Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, for saying Serbia's “risking security”.

Otherwise, the head of the Kosovo executive has also presented a comprehensive five-point composition plan that he has introduced to the partner states of QUINT (United States of America, Germany, France, Italy and Great Britain) for reducing tensions in the north and returning to dialogue.

Rule of law in Kosovo's Serb-run northern municipalities, attracting <x0mility fascist” there, conducting joint security assessments by Kosovo Police, EULEX's KFOR, the announcement of early local elections and the return to dialogue are the points proposed by Prime Minister Kurti.

Meanwhile, calming the situation in northern Kosovo, holding new local elections there, and turning into dialogue on normalisation of relations are the joint demands of the international organised community for de-esception, but these have not yet been met by either side.
