US seeks unconditional release of Kosovo police officials

US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller has said Serbia must unconditionally release the three members of the Kosovo Police, who have been detained by Serb forces on 14 June.
“We believe that Kosovo and Serbia should take immediate steps to expand the” situation, Miller has told reporters.
Kosovo considers the arrest of three police officials as kidnapping by Serbia's authorities on Kosovo territory.
According to the Kosovo Police, police officials have been arrested in the Tresave/Bare, located in the municipality of Leposaviqi, within Kosovo's territory.
Belgrade, on the other hand, claims it is not about kidnapping, but the arrest of police officers on Serbian territory.
Serbia's authorities have not offered Thursday No information About the detainees.
Miller has said the US expects the parties to follow the three-point plan the European Union has introduced without delay.
“Under that, [Kosovo Prime Minister Albin] Kurti must ensure that the elected mayors perform their duties from alternative locations and withdraw police units from the area around”.
The international community has three demands for Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, regarding the situation in the north:
