Sanctions are knocking on the door: How will Faithful Bislim adapt?

The European Union has prepared initial measures, such as sanctions against Kosovo due to its ignoring calls for immediate steps by the Kosovo Government for lowering tensions in the north. Under these measures, sanctions will include suspending invitations to Kosovo's participation in high-level events and bilateral visits by the European Union and member states. The meetings will only take place when they must be held to focus on addressing the crisis in northern Kosovo and steps to find solutions.
Asked a few days earlier about the possibility of how Kosovo would face these sanctions, Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi, had said that “would adapt to measures”, without providing more details, writes Periscopi.
Moreover, Bislimi had declared that Kosovo “would achieve goals in the north in partnership with internationals in the future”.
However, Bislim's pledge appears to have found no Western support at the moment, taking into account the recent statements by senior EU officials that today during the day, said the Kosovo government has yet to take any step of decesing the situation.
The last to warn of serious sanctions on Kosovo was Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, who at a media conference reported cancelling the meeting between the two governments due to the newly established situation.
At this conference, Rama also warned that “towards Kosovo has become a very serious plan because of reports with the international community”.
If recent media reports prove that Kosovo is already on the way to face Western sanctions, it would be one of the worst shocks for our country, which would be a whole new situation and not yet seen./Periscopi/
