For several weeks, State Police have increased security measures at the Russian Embassy in Tirana, following the request of the latter.
On May 26th, Russia's Embassy in Tirana has been sent with a letter to the State Police, asking for protection after feeling insecure following successive threats to their account at “Facebook”
Defense consists of guarding headquarters, but also of embassy staff. From the verifications carried out by the Russian diplomats themselves, who handed it over to the State Police, it turns out that the threats came from a person who lived in Kosovo Peja, who specifically wrote “will come and kill all of you at the embassy”.
Following this signal, the State Police added measures to the embassy. For several days, police stayed outside the unanticipated embassy, but later security measures were eased and already carried out frequent patrols in the area of Mjull Bathore, where the new Russian Embassy building is located.
As for the movement of diplomats, police engage every time they receive assistance notice.
On the other hand, they have launched investigations into the person who sent messages and were notified by Kosovo counterparts./ Top Channel
