The U.S. “U.S. requests were rejected below”, “New solutions only after the law is in place”: The Remote Battle Between Kurt and Escobar on BBC

Both were on a line on the BBC World Service's morning radio show, but they did not discuss it. Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the United States' Special Envoy for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escoabre, gave their picture of the events in the north a completely opposite picture. We read to him in co-ordination... [...]

Our efforts to co-ordinate with the Government of Kosovo were thrown away (Rebuffed)”, Gabriel told Escobar The BBC, where it showed that “is unfortunate” that the Kosovar side “did not listen to” the advice and requirements of the United States.

Escobar, said, “we signaled Albin Kurtin” in advance of what the US asks: “to pull the mayors from those municipal buildings; to remove Kosovo police from municipal buildings; and then urgently, urgently, to begin the task of establishing the Serb-run municipal association”.

But Kurt, who stood on the line and listened to the American diplomat in articulating American demands, had answers to that, respectively, having no answers.

If the mayors are in there, who should it be? And if these buildings are not for the mayors, who are they serving? The mayors are in their offices and that's how it should be and continue to be”, Kurti replied to the first question of the interviewer who started with Escobar's last response.

The BBC in conversation with Kurt observed: This is not the language of someone who seems willing to compromise. Kurti replied:“Compromis cannot do with democratic Republic, being prime minister of the most democratic country in the Western Balkans 6-states with the most professional police”.

As for the buildings and the departure of the mayors, Kurti hinted it wasn't. “are the property of the Republic”, he said, while adding that “in these buildings we can reduce the number of police forces, but first the violent mob, which hurt our police, journalists and NATO soldiers must either return to Serbia, or here in prison”.

Let's go back to Escobar. The latter of the tensions in the north, in the first place, billed Kosovo in the instigation of “for something symbolic” to install the three heads “that Kurt had guaranteed us will not exercise more powers than administrative... to perform municipal basic services”.

This escalation in part came as a result of the Kosovo side's lack of will to hear the international community not provoke tensions unnecessarily by insulating that municipal buildings should be used; and there are other buildings that can be used”, he added.

Here, Escobar, by what appears to be, applied to Kurti, who in an interview for The Guardian, except that had questioned the sound judgment of Anthony Blinken, US Secretary of State (called naive) told Escobar that in Kosovo “there can be no mayors in the Zoo”.

North / “Remote Replica between Kurt and Secretary Blinken
If one thing we learned from Coved is that we can work from a distance of”, Escobar said at the BBC.

It is important that mutual trust be built once among communities before something unilateral is done; and it is unfortunate that our efforts to co-ordinate with the Kosovo government were thrown away (rebuffed)”, Gabriel Escobar said.

From the very first place, the diplomat said, “did not really need them to get into those buildings; they have no real value as the seat of the exercise of power”.

But it turned out to be a test of will among those who did not want the new mayors to enter the office and among those who insisted on being there for symbolic reasons. In that sense it was totally avoidable. Yes, I mean there's an element of guilt on the other side, in the sense of some of the violence addressed to KFOR, but both sides have the responsibility to break this” cycle, he added.

Kurti was asked by the BBC that “did not worry” about the international sentences he received from Friday, for which answer he did not give, but continued to show how important Western allies are for Kosovo.

“In these buildings we can reduce the number of police forces, but first the violent crowd, which hurt our police, journalists and NATO soldiers must either return to Serbia, or here to prison”, he said.

We cannot hand over to our fascist democratic Republic, which is being paid by an Ottoman in Belgrade who was minister of Slobodan Milosevic's propaganda”.

As for the new elections in the country's four northern municipalities, Kurti said that “I am willing to hear proposals” but “only after we have established the rule of law in the country”. /national/
