Through a media report, MPJD says the kidnapping of three policemen is an act of aggression on Serbia and violation of international norms, and that the accusations of Serbian authorities are unstable and politically motivated.
We stress once again that the kidnapping of our incumbent policemen within Kosovo's territory is an act of aggression on Serbia and violation of international norms, and that the accusations of Serbian authorities are unstable and politically motivated. As has been proven by clear evidence, police have been within the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, carrying out their” duty, said in response.
Total notification of MPJD's:
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspore confirms that three police officers kidnapped in the Republic of Kosovo on 14 June, Mr. Rifat Zeka, Mr. Rifat Zeka. Bekir Sefi and Mr. The Semi Mustaf, released today after the hearing held at the Kraleva Supreme Court.
Ambassador Jetish Jashari and the staff of the Interconnection Office in Belgrade, who have been intensively engaged in this process, are already finalising formal procedures to enable them to return to the Republic of Kosovo to their families.
According to defence attorneys, in this hearing, the Kralev Supreme Court has confirmed the Kraleva Supreme Prosecutor's Act on three police officers, where they are charged with carrying out criminal work “production, possession and illegal circulation of weapons and explosive devices,” according to Article 348, paragraph 4, linked to Serbia's paragraph 2 and 1 of the Penal Code of Serbia.
The prosecutor has not demanded that police officers continue custody, which the Court has accepted, in turn, is allowed to be protected in freedom, respectively, to return to the Republic of Kosovo.
We stress once again that the kidnapping of our incumbent officers within Kosovo's territory is an act of aggression of Serbia and violation of international norms, and that the accusations of Serbian authorities are unstable and politically motivated. As has been proven by clear evidence, police have been within the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, carrying out their duty.
