Education expert Egzon Gashi estimates that the intensity test needs improvement and the results are no longer possible until the Parents' Council has demanded that this test be radically changed. The same is expected to hold the first phase of July 4th, while the other, 11th that month.
Pristina's Parents' Council has called for the radical improvement of the achievement test, or otherwise, its suspension.
In an answer to Dukaagini Portal, the head of this council, Jem Demi said the test was far from fulfilling his basic purpose.
“The essence of achievement aims to create a harmonised student rating meter at the country level. However, because the process is being compromised by the flow of tests, copying and irregularities, this test is far from fulfilling its goal. As such, such an assessment seems to cause devaluation of the pre-university education system (in numerous management and monitoring shortcomings) and creates inequality among students. So this test should either radically improve or be suspended, Demi has declared.
That the frustrations of parents and students themselves are numerous and present each year, Demi has not denied.
The frustrations of parents and students with that process are annual, numerous and numbered. So I can't justify the purpose that he has”, he has declared.
How real are the results? Should it continue as a method?
Education expert Egzon Gashi estimates that the intensity test needs improvement, and the results are no longer possible realities.
I don't believe that they're very accurate, actually, because there are many cases when questions are distributed, in viber or in various methods between students and sometimes unfortunately through teachers and schools. I believe this is a fundamental problem in culture, not to blame a group of people, one person. So much they give these tests and in fact the results are far from accurate... nor do students know how to perform. Also, you don't know how to apply the test at best”, he said.
The same has not denied that his presence remains the necessary “ ”.
“I believe that it can continue to be implemented and monitored effectively, they certainly have a reason. It's hard compared to a Pristina student with a Prizren or Gian when you don't have a national test with similar questions, so that's the test. However, the way it's implemented and implemented on the ground is so fucked up that it doesn't have accurate results and actually doesn't succeed, but I don't think it should be extinguished. It has a role in the education system”, Gashi has said.
Whether such a practice should be removed, the official from the ranks of the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and innovation (MASHTI), Fatmir Elezi has said his role remains to be considered.
“The destination test estimates students' recognition in certain subjects and serves for the orientation of students in the X class. Such a practice continues this year, but in the future the role of this assessment will be considered, Elez said.
But over the possibilities of high copying, Elez says it depends on the manager.
The “in each class are among 15 students in which you manage a manager, so the copying opportunities are small but there are irresponsible managers, and it happens that students manage to post on the test's social material networks”, he said.
Meanwhile, in terms of copying on such tests, expert Gashi said such a thing is more than obvious that happens.
In the IX class, there are about 24 thousand students expected to enter the test, Elesi indicated.
Already, AugustI has published the decision on when the probability test will be held this year.
The first part of the test, which contains knowledge from the mother tongue, English, history and geography, will be held on 4 July. Meanwhile, a week later, on July 11th, knowledge testing on mathematics, IT, chemistry, physics and biology will be held respectively.
