Dr. Jean Mitrev along with his team successfully performed a complex hybrid operation FET. This operation provides solutions to the complex condition of the aorta structure, during which a special aorta prosthetic prosthetic in the bow and lower part of the aorta.
The operation was performed at the 66-year-old patient in a life- threatening condition with a chronic aneurysm problem that has led to the collapse of the left lung and caused breathing problems. This is not his first operation. Previously, the patient has underwent urgent surgery to replace the aorta root due to the aq Stanford A (DeBkey type 1) design, with the aim of repairing the crack of the device at that moment and saving the patient's life.
The patient is successfully recovering under continued supervision of clinical specialists Jean Mitrev. Although the surgery is practiced in medicine for a long time, it constantly improves with new techniques. But because of the complexity of the whole process and the involvement of various interventions and approaches, it is rarely used. The success of the intervention, in addition to the specialities and combination of interventions, largely depends on the use of the latest models of prosthetics and the application of strategies suitable to protect the mouseard, as well as cerebral and visual protection.
It's called a hybrid operation because it combines endovascular treatment with classical surgery using a hybrid prosthesis and includes an interdisciplinary team made up of cardiosis, radiolog interventions, anesthesiologist, perfusionist, instrument technician.
Such operations for seriously ill patients always require a quick response and have been successfully performed for years by Dr. Jean Mitrev.
