Michel made comments on the eve of an EU summit, running works today and tomorrow in Brussels.
I want to say that we also support the idea to organise, as soon as possible, a conference together with several EU member states”, Michel said, stressing the need for co-ordination with the US.
I think the time has come to have a global approach and to take clear steps towards normalisation [of Kosovo-Serbia relations]”, Michel said.
This is very important, because we have said that we want to try our best to do something for the Western Balkans, along with the Western Balkans”, he added.
Albania's prime minister, Edi Rama, unveiled the idea for holding an international conference on Kosovo and Serbia on 27 June. That day, Rama spoke to senior European officials in Brussels, including Michelin.
