Putin says those on the road to treason will be punished

The leader of the Russian mercenary group, Wagner, Yevgeny Pigozin, has pledged that he will try all ways to bring down Russia's military leadership, hours after the Kremlin has charged him with “armed rebeling”. Russian President Vladimir Putin has told the nation on Saturday that some Russians are “committed to criminal adventure”

Russian President Vladimir Putin has told the nation on Saturday that some Russians are “committed to criminal adventure” without specifically mentioning the Wagner fighters.

He has said Russia's future has been jeopardised, describing the actions of the rebels as “backhand”.

Not to mention the Prigozyni name, Putin has said that “ambitions” have led to “trandti”.

The Russian president has warned of the imminent “punishment” for those who divide Russian society.

He has said the state situation against terrorism is being implemented in Moscow and in several other regions.

Putin has completed his address, saying he has made all the necessary decisions to face the crisis, and has pledged to protect Russia.

Meanwhile, Pigozin has said on June 24th that his forces are occupying the Russian Army headquarters in the town of Rostov-on-Don, and will take over the military zones and airport of this city.

According to him, Wagner's men will destroy anyone who stands in their way.

“We're inside military headquarters, it's 7:30 in the morning”, Prigozhin said.

“Military Zones in Rostov, including an airport, are under control”, adding that combat equipment is being launched as usual in the war against Ukraine, and that its forces have taken control of the “airport so that the planes do not attack us, but the Ukrainian”.

Rostov-on-Don is the main logistical base for Russian combat operations in Ukraine.

Pigozin has said it is backed by thousands of soldiers to oust Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu and Russian Armed Forces Chief of Staff Valery Gerassimov from power.

The local governor has called on citizens to be calm and stay indoor environments.

Pigozin has claimed his forces have crashed a Russian military helicopter, which “has launched fire on a civilian convoy”.

He has not provided details about the location and these claims have not been independently verified.

The Wagner Group is a private army of mercenaries, who are fighting alongside the regular Russian army in Ukraine.

Tensions between the two armies have increased around the way the war is taking place in Ukraine began by Russia on February 24, 2022.

On Friday, Prigozhin, 62, has accused the army of launching deadly missile attacks against his troops and has pledged punishment.

Russian authorities have denied to have carried out such attacks, and have demanded that Pigozin be put to an end to <x0).

Prigozhin has said that the “directorial leadership” in the Russian Army should be banned and pledged that “would march for justice”.

The “those who have killed our members, and who have claimed tens of thousands of lives of Russian soldiers [in the war in Ukraine] will be punished”, he said through an audio message published on the telegram platform.

I ask you not to resist. Anyone resisting will be considered a threat and destroyed”.

“State in the presidency, government, police and border guard will work as usual. This is not a military stick, it's a march for justice. Our actions do not involve troops, in any way”.

Security in Moscow has increased in late Fridays, Russian media reported.

The White House has said it is monitoring the situation and will consult the allies.

General Sergei Suroviki, deputy head of Russian forces in Ukraine, has recently praised whose leader Prigozhi has already appealed to Wagner's chief “to stop the convoy and return to base”.

We have blood, we are warriors. Don't fall into enemy hands at this difficult time for our state”

Another senior Russian commander, Vladimir Alekseyev, has described Wagner's chief's actions as “backhand to the state and president”.

Russian media have said the Federal Security Service (FSB) in Russia has opened a criminal case against Prigozhin, charging him with “calling for armed rebellion”, and attempting to launch armed civil conflict in Russia.

The FSB has reportedly called on Wagner fighters not to accept Prigozhin's orders and to take measures to apprehend him.

The Russian Defence Ministry has said that “all of the Prigozhin reports distributed on social networks” for Russian attacks on Wagner camps “are not true and are provocations”.

These statements came after a video message published by Pigozini in May, which was seen in that world surrounded by bodies of dead soldiers.

On that material, he has criticised Russia's military chiefs, who are not offering Wagnerl enough ammunition in the fight against Ukraine.

Russian President Vladimir Putin calls the war “special military operation” to demilitarise Ukraine.

The West has responded to Russia, striking the economy of this state with severe sanctions.

As a result of the war, thousands have died, and millions of others have been displaced from their homes.
