Published the names of the “criminals” of the north, analysts criticise Kurti: You need to be interviewed for intelligence of operational information

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti has no right to intervene in the affairs of the justice system, and much less to make public the names of persons suspected of riots in the country's north last days, analysts estimate in the country. This is referring to the publication of a group of names from Kurt to [...]

This is referring to the publication of a group of names from Kurti at the Assembly session, where he said they are part of Serb criminal groups in the north.

He started with Milorad Jevtic, who Kurti said is one of the directors, as he put it, this illegal formation. That same day Kurt stressed several other names, which he said are related to Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq.

Institute for Confirmation of Interethnic Relations leader Fatmir Sheholli says publishing these names is being made for electoral effect. He says this job belongs to the Kosovo Police Director.

I think, but I believe that everyone who deals with the justice system does not. The first is not the job of the outgoing prime minister and stating names and surnames because it is a matter of justice at the moment when all evidence and all cases involving one case, in this case the case of the people he has mentioned. Our job is to inform the security organs and the security organs and the justice organs are taken, because that's a lot of sensitious issues with names of people”, says Sheholli.

I believe he was given the AKI or anyone else those names, but it's not the prime minister's. Even with the certainty that it is all so, it is the director of the Kosovo Police, who appears at the press conference and claims these things. But we're used to Kurt's taking the loans from both the opposition and those who do the whole other thing on the way, and I made it up to him that's not true. But I believe that the justice bodies, that is, the prosecution would have been very reasonable to invite the prime minister of Kosovo and ask him where he has all this information about names and surnames that he has expressed”, he says.

Sheholli considers that this is not the first time the chief executive has declared this. He says guilt is not in the prime minister's domain.

There is no first time the prime minister behaves like this, he mentioned names earlier, and we have had no process of resolving the issue. He has also mentioned the names of the Serbian List and of various people dealing with different interfaces, but to this day we have not had arrests, because the prosecution deals with the case. It is not the prime minister who testifies to someone's guilt or innocence”, Shehlo said.

Security expert Drizan Shala calls it a major mistake for the operational affairs of institutions to be misused by the political level.

Shala says that Kurti's statement has made it difficult for police to arrest the same.

I think it's a political error for the operational work of security institutions to be used and misused by the political level to create a confusion in public opinion, that he is allegedly informed of any criminal element in the northern part. So on this basis Prime Minister Kurti has made a mistake because he has made it difficult and now has managed to make it impossible for them to access the prime minister who is an integral part of criminal groups to be arrested by the Kosovo police, because they are now warned that the state of Kosovo knows the countries, knows the locations, knows the organisers who is behind the protests. So a complete gullibility on the part of Prime Minister Kurti has caused an operational inability to bring these people to justice”, says Shala.

Shala says the Special Prosecutor had to interview Prime Minister Kurti for “collapse of operational and confidential information”.

“Kosovo Special Prosecutor's Prosecutor, Chief Prosecutor or whoever is based on and field criminal groups and organised crime have had to intervene and question Kosovo's prime minister for breaking up operational information and official information so confidential, which now will enable me to have a whole job done on security structures so that these persons can be put to justice”, says Shala.
