Kosovo police have arrested Dragisa Milenovic from Gracanica under war crimes allegations.
The Constitutional Court in Pristina has scheduled the month-long detention measure for Dragisa Milenkovic.
The court's announcement has stressed that Milenkovic, former Pristina and Lipjan Prison Guard, from the date 24.05.1999 to 10,06.1999, in the quality of the official person and in co-ordination with other prison officials in question, had misused official authorisations.
“After having transferred Albanian prisoners from the Dubrava prison to the Pristina and Lipjan prison, they had initially formed cords at the entrance of the prison from both sides where prisoners had been forced through cordons and suspects had begun to beat them with various means like rubber sticks, fists, kicks etc., and after that had systematically mistreated Albanian prisoners, tormenting whathumanly, tortured, caused serious bodily injuries, physical violence, trauma and health consequences, and seriously enduring actions, such as acting on local laws, local customs and the Geneva International Protocols, and the Stakes of the UNSCs, have been known.
