There are many unanswered questions about the deal that Wagner leader Yevgeny Pigozin arrived to end the rebellion and what will happen next.
One of the things that's not yet known is where Prigozhi is now.
He was last seen in a car leaving Rostov-on-Don late Saturday ʹtown in southern Russia, which he had claimed to control for a day.
His future destination is now thought to be Belarus, following a reported agreement brokered by that country's strong leader, Alexander Lukashenko, a key ally of President Vladimir Putin.
A no-fly zone is currently in effect in southwestern Russia, meaning that the nearest operating airports with Rostovin are in Volgograd and Sochi, but each are about 400km away, reports the BBC.
Prigozin can technically travel by car or train but it is a long way to Belarus, as it must bypass Ukraine.
