Police confiscated trees coming from Serbia

Kosovo police, respectively, have encountered police units from Border Police, during the conduct of regular tasks, along the borderline in the village area of Veleglava, in the trees of several types, such as ahu, poplar and cherry trees, in quantity of 70 (seven) cubic metres.
After finding this amount of wood, which is suspected that on the territory of the Republic of Kosovo they have been brought from Serbia's territory, police officials have managed to discover that this amount of wood belongs to male initial suspect A. L. 1985.
In connection with the case, the competent prosecutor has been contacted, whose order the case has been initiated with goods smuggling, where central inspectors of Kosovo Forestry have also emerged at the scene.
Under the prosecutor's order, the wood is confiscated from the customs service and sent to the Eau White terminal, while relevant police units are dealing with the case according to the following” procedures, the statement said.
