Osmani: Kosovo ready to consider holding new elections in north

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has confirmed that French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz have called for holding new elections in the four northern municipalities of Zvecan, Leposaviq, Zubin Potok and North Mitrovica.

I told him we're willing to consider this option”, Osmani said.

Osmani also said he told European leaders that legal procedures allow for holding elections.

This is not done immediately “but these are legal procedures that enable citizens to decide whether to hold elections”, Osmani said. / REL
