Through a Twitter post, Osman said he has expressed his commitment to continuing his work with Allies to enable the rule of law in the north.
At today's meeting with Escobar and Miroslav Lajcak, I expressed our full commitment to continue working with partners to ensure the rule of law in northern Kosovo. We discussed the next steps in our joint efforts for long-term peace and stability in our region”, Osmani wrote on Twitter.
Osmani has also spoken of criminal groups in the north, again condemning the violence they have exercised against KFOR members, police and journalists.
” It noted that impunity for criminal groups and individuals who have exercised violence against police, journalists, KFOR, EULEX and citizens should not be tolerated. He underlined that new elections are possible in accordance with democratic law and principles included. The participation of all”, Osman wrote.
Escobar and Lajcak have also met with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, but there has been no solution to the issue of the current crisis.
Later, the American-European diplomatic pair have travelled to Belgrade, where they met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vuciq.
