Osman for EU measures towards Kosovo: The differences of the moment pass as soon as possible

Recalling that this crisis has been caused by Serbia, Osmani said Kosovo is in its right, in the context of rule of law and sovereignty.

Speaking of the new elections in municipalities in the north, she said the law envisions some situations for early elections, which one of them, according to her, is best because it also ensures the participation of Serbs living in those municipalities.

Speaking of possible EU punitive measures towards Kosovo, in the event it does not relax the situation in the north, President Osmani said it is working on the escape of such measures.

Our “Contacts are consistent and daily with the EU and the US, and while all of us, the US and the EU, have a common strategic goal, which is sovereign Kosovo, independent of the current and integrated borders into the Atlantic structures, nothing should prevent us from passing these current differences as soon as we were”.

As she spoke of the summit she is participating in and was held in Podgorica in Montenegro, President Osmani said such an initiative exists since 1996 and included 13 Southeast European states.
