Analyst Shenoll Muharremi has suggested that the northern crisis has affected Albin Kurti's popularity decline.
He has indicated that for this reason the prime minister has accepted new elections for the four northern municipalities.
In his account in “Facebook”, Muharrem wrote that after the events in the north Kurti could not have supported citizens more than 25 percent.
“If he had over 50% support and credit polls hit 28% in November, now, after the northern crisis there should be no more than 25%. He knows that, I changed my course and I accept new elections in the north yesterday. It's not entirely his fault, it's abnormal to have 50%, it's reached its maximum. If you want to absorb someone, give them power and permission of government. Great needs, crises, compromises and it falls... like a tree leaf in autumn”, he wrote.
According to him, in future national elections Kurti will not be easy.
“Lumir Abdixhiku and Memli Krasniqi are another school. They too are young and well educated by the most influential countries in the world. They're family and loved ones. With advanced and discreet experience. They're just waiting. Like those athletes on the 100m range, they're looking forward to starting races and running across those obstacles to reach the car. Their time is coming. But Albin Kurt is not going anywhere. We need him yet and he has a role to play in Kosovo's political orchestra” wrote Muharremi.
