Soares asked Vuciqi several times whether he recognises Serbia, Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state. Vuciq hesitated to answer that question, even in one piece he told what he did not hear.

Soares' question came while talking about developments and protests that are taking place in northern Kosovo.

No one wants to see the passage, Mr. President, I don't think anyone's calling for a bypass. But just let me ask you that Serbia does not recognise Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state, that is a fact. What would it take for Serbia to recognise Kosovo's independence?” was Soare's question.

Vuciq replied to the “is no longer in question, if you see what we've been talking about through the Franco-German plan, about what we talked about in Ohrid, it's about normalising relations. This is a key condition for Serbia on the road to the European Union”, writes Clankosova.

But Soares, not only stopped with this response from Vuciki, she insisted again on her question saying: “; but, sir, my question is do you know Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state?”

This time, Vuciq pretended not to hear the question: “I didn't hear your question, sorry?

After this response to Vuciq, Soares repeated the question: “I asked you do you recognise Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state?

“E recognise the UN charter and UN resolution, and we are always ready to discuss compromise”, Vuciq said.
