Defence Minister Armend Mehaj reports he has hosted the previous defence ministers and commanders at the meeting today, along with representatives of war veterans' organisations.
Mehe writes that he has informed them of developments in the ministry and the Security Force and discussed the overall security situation with them.
Former ministers Agim Ceku, Hakki Demolli, Rrustem Berisha and Anton Quinn were at the meeting.
Today, at two separate meetings, I have hosted the former Ministers of Defence of the Republic of Kosovo, along with our former Army Commanders and Associations of Witnesses, Veterans and War Invalids.
During the meeting, I announced developments and advances in the Ministry of Defence and the Kosovo Security Force, developments that are continuing in fulfillment of our strategic goals that make our army professional, trained, educated and armed according to NATO standards.
We also discussed the overall security situation in our country and beyond. Each of us and all of us together must engage in a safe and secure environment in the Republic of Kosovo.
Our actions are constantly co-ordinated with our partners, while we remain committed to rule of law and to respecting our constitutionality.
