(3 years ago)The Kosovo Assembly has not approved the draft law on early retirement of Kosovo police officers and employees with police authorization. This bill has been proposed by the Democratic Party of Kosovo. The deputies of the Vetevendosje Movement abstained, so this very important bill for the Kosovo Police failed. PDK MP Ganimette Musliu has considered the adoption of this bill necessary, while stressing that police officials and IPK employees are proposed with police authorization to gain the right to regular retirement if their age reaches 55 years.
Vetevendosje Movement MP Enver Dugolli has said this draft bill proposed by the PDK is not serious and has not calculated the budget burden.
LDK MP Armend Zemaj has also demanded that the majority support this bill, until it has stressed LDK support.
The Kosovo government has not put forward the opinion on this bill until the same was submitted to the session without majority support for the Commission for Security and Defence Affairs.
