Lajcak said that on these visits he will report to European Union countries, until he added he has hoped more of these visits.

“we travelled to the region in order to address the tense situation in northern Kosovo, which we have all seen during the past week and explore the potential for a political solution”, Lajcak said.

He stressed that there have been meetings about the situation in the north, with institutional and opposition representatives.

We met with the highest leadership in Kosovo, including President Osmani, Prime Minister Kurti and the first Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi. Our discussion was over. We conveyed our concerns about the situation in the north and stressed the need for an immediate de-scaling. We reiterated what the EU and the US have demanded from the parties for -- an immediate de-scaling, early elections with the participation of Kosovo Serbs and a return to dialogue”, he added.
