Riztuccia added that in Zvecan there have been people who deliberately have promoted the crowd of Serb residents.
“In the Square in Zvecan there were protest professionals who deliberately promoted crowd”, he told the Italian newspaper “La Repubblica”
He also spoke of KFOR soldiers who suffered injuries during the confrontation with violent protesters.
“Sic you know, thirty KFOR soldiers, 19 Hungarians and 11 Italians had an urban coward attack on Monday 29 May. I'm very close to them and their families. Nine of the Italians are at the hospital facility at Camp Villagegio Italy, one is located at a facility in Pristina and another in Skopje. I can say that none of them are in danger of life, they'll soon heal”, he said.
He has also been asked about Russian mercenaries, members of the Wagner Brigade, who were told they are headed for Kosovo.
KFOR commander announced that so far there is no evidence of their presence in this area.
