This legal document is aimed at regulating the private pharmaceutical market and unifying prices, so citizens will not attempt to find the drug store at cheaper prices.

Nevertheless, citizens of this law will be seen at the beginning of 2024, at least according to pharmacists. The latter say there are some procedures to the pharmaceutical community, which will follow after the adoption of the law and its entry into force.

The procedures include offering ceiling prices from warehouses and suppliers to then determine the final price and then, patients will buy chronic drugs at the same price anywhere in Kosovo's drugs, which are now missing.

And, opposition MP Andmendi Zemaj, who describes this law as necessary but also delayed by the government, says 2024 should not be expected for implementation, and that more pressure will be put on the government and the Ministry of Health.

Currently, according to pharmacists, in 90% of cases, patients only care about the price of grass and do not seek professional advice.
