The US secretary on Monday has said that the EU's tripoint plan is the best way to move forward: extending the situation to the north, holding new elections and returning to dialogue on normalising Kosovo-Serbia relations.
And European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has called Prime Minister Albin Kurti on Tuesday, until she has announced that such a call will be done with Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vucin.
She said Kurt has stressed the urgency of extending the situation and returning to dialogue.
I spoke with Prime Minister Albin Kurti this morning. I stressed the urgent need for enlargement and return to the European Union's relaxed dialogue on normalising relations with Serbia. I'll talk to President Vuciq later today” wrote von der Leyen on Twitter.
While EU diplomacy chief Josep Borrell has declared that from today the Commission for Policy and Security will begin to investigate what actions can be taken if the parties disagree on announcing new elections.

On the other hand, Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has started on the second day of his stay in Brussels, where he has attended meetings with senior officials today.
He has also met European Enlargement Commissioner Oliveér Várhely and European Union High Representative Josep Borrell.
It wasn't known what was discussed with Borrell.
Albania's prime minister has also met with EC President Ursula Von der Leyeen and European Council President Charles Michel, with whom he discussed the situation in northern Kosovo.
We remember that three Kosovo border police officers kidnapped by Serbian authorities were released yesterday.
