Hamiti: The dynamic government has brought about work for the EU to impose sanctions on us

In a proposal for Periscope, Hamiti said Kosovo's relations with the United States, the EU and Albania have deteriorated during Kurti Government, which, according to him, is trying to be ignored by both the Government and its supporters.

Kosovo is being sanctioned by our European and American friends and allies because of our irresponsible government. Our strategic relationship with the US, the EU, but also with Albania has deteriorated in the time of Kurti Government. This is the fact that Government is trying to ignore it, as are the supporters of the popular government, of the re-progression, which has brought a deadlock and a reggression, a poor change for our Republic”, he stressed.

Hamiti also spoke of warnings by EU Director General for Neighborship and Enlargement Negotiations Jan Koopman, who earlier announced that a series of punitive measures are being prepared to Kosovo.

For these sanctions, Hamiti said they are very serious as he added that these are happening because of the secular and irresponsible government.

“Z. Koopman cited the suspension of the work of all working groups for the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (MSA) Kosovo has with the EU, the suspension of funding EU programmes, the disapproval of projects by the Investment Fund in the Western Balkans, and the suspension of meetings at political levels. These are very serious sanctions imposed on Kosovo because of our diplomatic and irresponsible government, which has brought the job so far as the EU, which we intend to integrate, take measures that inevitably harm our country”, Hamiti told Periscope.

As for Kosovo relations - The US, former Kosovo Ambassador to the United Kingdom, said US Secretary of State Antony Blinken himself had asked Prime Minister Albin Kurti that “changed course”.

Because of such behaviour, the United States has long warned of consequences to bilateral Kosovo relations. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken himself asked Prime Minister Albin Kurti to change his course (Course) of conduct exactly) and to refrain from further acts that fuel tensions and promote conflict.

“Following for bilateral relations, are these also serious warnings for Kosovo by the US administration? ”, he adds.

Meanwhile, regarding the question of what the way out of this situation would be, Hamiti said the Government should remember first.

To answer your question about what would be the way our government would have to follow, I think these guys should remember first. To do this, they must see that they have gone blind, with no way out. That they should turn back, take the other direction, if this is not the Government's destination -- the blind road, to worse worse, the course of confrontation with Kosovo's historical friends and allies that would seriously damage our Republic's Euro-Atlantic perspective”, he told Periscope.

We remember that today the LDK leader, Lumir Abdixhiku, said his party will soon present the plan to overcome isolation and crisis in Kosovo.
