Government details Kurt meeting with Lajcak, Escobar

Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, along with Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi, hosted the meeting tonight and thanked the European and American emissaries Miroslav Lajcak and Gabriel Escobar for their visit, continued interest and goodwill for the solution. The announcement of media from the prime minister's office is said to have exchanged opinions at this meeting [...]
In the announcement of media, from the prime minister's office, thoughts on the current situation and developments were reportedly exchanged at this meeting, ideas about the de-excendment of the situation in the north, and the urgency of implementing the Basic Agreement and the Annex implementation.
The prime minister said the road ahead is the immediate ban on attacks by violent extremists and criminal groups on local and international security bodies, as well as journalists. He invited Brussels and Washington to call for a ban on violence and prosecution and punishment of its perpetrators.
The rule of law alone could pave the way for early, free, democratic and fair elections. This should also be the pre-election campaign. Candidates and voters in the new elections must compete and participate without fear and threats. Order and legitimacy would certainly reduce the number of police officers in three northern municipalities, Kurti stressed.
Kurti expressed the unwilling readiness and firm trust for intensive and common commitment to de-excedentation of the situation and normalisation of relations, the communique said.
