Ahmetaj has expressed concern about the danger Kosovo may face with the possibility of suspending visa liberalisation by the European Union.
She has stressed that the damage this situation will cause Kosovo is irreparable, affecting not only monetary and political aid, but also the country's current progress on the road to EU membership.
Also, she has said that losing financial aid from the EU and the US, as well as the possibility of suspending visa liberalisation, will bring serious political consequences to Kosovo, turning the country to zero.
Viewing Prime Minister Albin Kurti as an unreliable partner, Ahmetaj has said the EU is obliged to take such drastic and radical measures.
This is a punishment for the prime minister directly, but those who will pay the price are Kosovo citizens. For stubborn decisions, for illiteracy in politics, for short term, we risk Kosovo citizens paying the high price. Seeing as they have to do with a partner like Prime Minister Kurti, a man who cannot be trusted and forced the EU to take such drastic and radical measures”, she has declared at RTV Dukaagjini.
She has also expressed concern about attracting American aid from all aspects, considering a serious political loss for the country.
“The integration processes and progress that Kosovo has achieved so far are coming at risk”, Ahmetaj has said, calling the visa liberalisation issue a point in the ocean.
Among other things, she has declared that the political damage being inflicted on and that Kosovo will be caused is very big and is already facing this situation.
I want to say that the damage being done to Kosovo and will become Kosovo is irreparable. There is not only the monetary value of both the EU and the US monetary or financial aid, how much political damage Kosovo will take time to return to zero. This is the biggest problem Kosovo will face, and it is already facing. All the processes we're turning back, the visa liberalisation issue is a point in the ocean, my greatest sorrow is the current withdrawal from “Defender 23”, the withdrawal of American aid from all aspects. But I'm saying that the political damage being done to him and that it's going to be done is very big”, she declared.
Also, Ahmetaj has said that punishment by internationals will be directly for the prime minister, but Kosovo citizens will pay the price of <x0th) those stubborn decisions, literacy in politics and shortitude”.
It has added that the processes the countries pass have the technical part and the political part, and is currently the political moment.
However, it is hopeful that this remark will be seen as a signal and not formalised so that, according to it, Kosovo citizens do not pay for Prime Minister Kurti's irresponsible actions.
